Programming Tynetec XT2 wireless devices

This guide relates to all XT2 wireless devices such as pendants, pull cords, smoke detectors and fall detectors. 

Adding Wireless Devices

Method 1 - Via the handset

This programming must be carried out by the site manager, or someone with access to the systems phone.
Note: this must be carried out in, or in close proximity of the site office.

1.  Pick up your warden call handset and wait for the “Ready” prompt in the earpiece
2. Press the * key and wait for the “Manager Mode - Ready” prompt in the earpiece
3. Enter the code 5000*
4. Enter the flat number followed by the * key
5. Activate the pendant (or other 869MHz radio device) to be added
6. When prompted for a location code, press the # key.
7. Wait for the “Radio Device Enabled - Enter Flat” prompt
8. Repeat from step 4 above to add more radio devices or press # key to exit the mode
9. Press the LINE key to clear the connection.
10. Once in the flat, press the pendant firmly to start a test call. Ensure that the details presented on the managers phone are correct.

Method 2 - Via the managers tablet

1. Click Settings top right hand corner. A pop up box will appear asking for a password. Select 'Manager' then enter the password (often 1111)
2. Click programming on the left of the screen, then click Program Radio Devices at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click the Flat ID section on the bottom right of the screen then enter the flat number using the on screen keypad
4. In the Radio ID box top left of the screen, enter the radio ID from the box of the pendant, or the back of the pendant. Note, this will be a 8 digit code and may contain letters A,B,C,D,E or F.
5. Click the Room Locations section, then from the right of the screen choose the location of the device. if it is a mobile device such as a pendant, press No Location.
6. Click Send
7. After a few seconds, firmly press the pendant to start a test call. 

Removing Wireless Devices

Method 1 - Via the handset

This programming must be carried out by the site manager, or someone with access to the systems phone.
Note: this must be carried out in, or in close proximity of the site office.

1.  Pick up your warden call handset and wait for the “Ready” prompt in the earpiece
2. Press the * key and wait for the “Manager Mode - Ready” prompt in the earpiece
3. Enter the code 5001*
4. Enter the flat number followed by the * key
5. Activate the pendant (or other 869MHz radio device) to be added
6. When prompted for a location code, press the # key.
7. Wait for the “Radio Device Enabled - Enter Flat” prompt
8. Repeat from step 4 above to add more radio devices or press # key to exit the mode
9. Press the LINE key to clear the connection.
10. Once in the flat, press the pendant firmly to start a test call. Ensure that the details presented on the managers phone are correct.

Method 2 - Via the managers tablet

7. After a few seconds, firmly press the pendant to start a test call.
